Downtown Davenport Development Commission collection
This is a collection of images of downtown Davenport. Fifteen images are black and white and ten are color prints.
Second street is the main focus of the black and white prints whereas the color items are mostly skylines.

This collections consists of "Our Little Book for Little Folks" created by American Book Company copyright 1896. The title page states the book was "Arranged by W.E. Crosby Late Supt. Schools Davenport IA". It was property of a room in 1 South School 1899. This was hand written inside front cover.

Eastern Iowa County School Records Collection
This is a collection of documents generated between 1870-1974 by schools that merged into the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency in 1974. Documentation includes attendance, student scores/grades, monthly summaries, graduates, visitors, term reports, annual reports to County Superintendents, directories of teachers, country school records, and some parochial school documentation. Counties included are Jackson, Clinton, Muscatine and one volume for Scott County.

About the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center:
The Special Collections Department of the Davenport Public Library was established in 1982. In November of 1999, the newly renovated department opened to better serve its community and was renamed the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center. The Center acquires, arranges, describes, preserves, and makes available local history and genealogical materials concentrating on those pertaining to Davenport, Scott County, and Eastern Iowa.
