This collection consists of one account ledger for the Capitol Thatre in Davenport, Iowa and the loose papers found inside the back cover of the ledger. The contents date from December 1920-December 1925. The item was created by the management team of the CApitol Theatre and contains information on opening expenses, salaries, movies shown and fees charged.

The SCC Downtown Foundation received the building, known then as the Kahl Building, from V.O. Figge in 1995.

This is a collection of documents generated between 1870-1974 by schools that merged into the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency in 1974. Documentation includes attendance, student scores/grades, monthly summaries, graduates, visitors, term reports, annual reports to County Superintendents, directories of teachers, country school records, and some parochial school documentation. Counties included are Jackson, Clinton, Muscatine and one volume for Scott County.

Ebeling Architectural Collection

Scope and Contents This is a collection of architectural studies and drawings done by Arthur H. Ebeling of Davenport, Iowa. Within the collection are drawings created by G.A. Hanssen and D.J. Harfst dating 1902-1908. Correspondence course work done by Arthur Ebeling and his brother Paul Ebeling are also included. These are construction drawings, mostly on coated linen paper. Many were secured with brass brads that had corroded and left green markings, however they do not affect the drawings. ...

About the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center:

The Special Collections Department of the Davenport Public Library was established in 1982. In November of 1999, the newly renovated department opened to better serve its community and was renamed the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center. The Center acquires, arranges, describes, preserves, and makes available local history and genealogical materials concentrating on those pertaining to Davenport, Scott County, and Eastern Iowa.
