Guide to Searching the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center’s Collections

To begin a search, start with a basic keyword search below, or use the drop-down menus to create a more advanced search by limiting to collection descriptions, specific names or titles, or a certain range of dates.

The search results that appear are known as archival collection guides. An archival collection guide, sometimes called a finding aid, is a guide to a group or collection of archival records, personal papers, or manuscripts. A guide may take the form of a brief summary or a detailed description and inventory. How the materials were created and in what context, the dates and topics they cover, the amount and the way they are organized are all included in a collection guide.

Please consult the Special Collections Center with questions about using the materials.
