This collection contains 1 unpublished memoir "The Seven L's" by Lillian Tice Baldwin recalling her years spent at the Iowa Soldiers' Orphans' Home (Annie Wittenmyer Home) from about 1928-1940.

The published book with photographs and more extensive information was donated in 2022 and added to the catalog.

About the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center:

The Special Collections Department of the Davenport Public Library was established in 1982. In November of 1999, the newly renovated department opened to better serve its community and was renamed the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center.
